A Whole New Chapter

Hey there beautiful people. Sorry for not updating for quite a while. I enlisted into NS 3 weeks ago so I don't get to spend much time online. As you might already know, my NS journey has started for some time now. And throughout these 5 months, I'll share as much as I can about serving the nation. By the way, before I start, happy holidays everyone!

8.12.09. 081209. 8/12/09. 8th December 2009. No matter what you call it, this date only means one thing to me. This was the day I started the rite of passage, every single able-bodied male in Singapore has to go through. National Service. FYI, I had to go in 2 months earlier for PTP (Physical Training Phase) because I failed my NAPFA test. PTP is sort of a intense physical training. Anyway, first week was like shit because of all the logistics stuff and the instructors were punishing us like crazy. It was push ups every now and then, (By the way, it is still push ups every now and then.) alot of name calling like, idiot, fuck face, pussy,etc. But as the second and third week pass by, I've noticed that the instructors have loosen their grip. Thank God for that but the punishments still remain. One thing that I like about the PTP is we have plenty of rest time. Check this out.

0600: Water Parade
0700: Flag Raising
0730: Morning PT
0830: Breakfast
0900: Rest Time
1130: Lunch
1200: Rest Time
1630: Afternoon PT
1730: Rest Time
1830: Dinner
1900: Rest Time
2100: Water Parade
2230: Lights Out

So you see there is alot of time for rest but trust me, that does not make NS any more enjoyable. Oh and my mom thought water parade was doing drills in the pool. Can you believe that? So 3 weeks has passed and 5 more weeks to tackle. And then my BMT starts. But by then, things would not be so tough. So people, 5 more weeks of hell. Piece of cake.

Tough times never last
But tough people do
