So, its a new year.. At around this time, most ppl would be busy planning out their new year's resolutions. But i've decided to scrap that idea this year.. Coz i noe all the resolutions i once swore to fulfill in the beginning of the year would eventually be left unfulfilled as i give in to the various temptations one would face in their everyday lives. So i've learned to take things in my stride and accept wat this year has in store for me.
Anyway let's look at the cheers and jeers of the year 2008

To the Singapore Table Tennis team for winning our first olympic medal since the the age of the dinosaurs.
To the Spain football team for winning the Euro 08 (Espana!!)
To Michael Phelps for being a lean-mean-medal-winning-machine
To Usain Bolt for being the fastest man on earth
To Harry Redknapp for bringing Spurs out of last place (I'm a gooner but still, this guy is incredible)
To Hull City for being a force to be reckoned with
To the people who gave up their MRT and bus seats to those who need it more
To the wonderful people who attended my chalet
To the wonderful people who helped out at my chalet
To the wonderful people who remembered my birthday
To the Auntie who appeared in the New Paper for giving out food to the foreign workers
To the television series; The Little Nyonya, for being the highest-rated drama since the age of the dinosaurs
To the wonderful people who helped me in my time of need
To my friend Syanaz for giving me countless rides to school and other places (Thanks dude)
To my friends who made me laugh 'till it hurts
To Eugene for being the best bro in the world

To President Bush for failing to withdraw the US troops out of Iraq even after no WOMADs (Weapons of Mass Destruction) were found there
To the Singapore Football team for failing to beat Vietnam in the AFF Suzuki cup even though they dominated the match
To the England Football Team for failing to even qualify for the Euro 08
To the people responsible for the melamine contamination in our everyday products (You guys killed babies for God's sake)
To the terrorists involved in the Mumbai attacks. (Condolences to the family of the Singaporean who was killed)
To the Thais who have nothing better to do than protesting the appointment of every new Prime Minister
